RAWALPINDI, PAKISTAN (BNO NEWS) -- A large passenger plane carrying more than 120 people crashed near Benazir Bhutto International Airport in the Pakistani city of Rawalpindi on Friday afternoon, local television stations reported.
Flight 213 of Bhoja Air, a Pakistani airline which launched its first flight last month after ceasing operations in 2000, crashed during bad weather near Benazir Bhutto International Airport, GEO Television reported. It said 127 people were believed to be on board, and rescue teams from both Islamabad and Rawalpindi were responding to the scene.
The aircraft involved is believed to be a Boeing 737.
