Authorities raid Michael Jackson's doctor's office

HOUSTON (BNO NEWS) -- Authorities are executing a search warrant for the Houston clinic of Michael Jackson's personal physician, officials told BNO News on Wednesday afternoon.

Violet Szeleczky, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) said that the Los Angeles Police Department was carrying out the search and that the DEA was assisting.

The clinic is owned by Dr. Conrad Murray, who was Michael Jackson's personal physician and was with him at the time the star died in his home last month. There has been widespread speculation that he might have played a role in Jackson's death.

Officials had earlier told BNO News that Michael Jackson's death investigation had turned into a criminal investigation.

The Los Angeles Police Department said they were not making comments on the search at this time.
