White House statement on the passing of Abdul Aziz al-Hakim

WASHINGTON, D.C. (BNO NEWS) -- White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs released the following statement on Wednesday on the passing of Abdul Aziz al-Hakim, the leader of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq.

"We were saddened to learn of the passing of His Eminence Abdul Aziz al-Hakim, who has played an important role in Iraq’s national history. We offer our condolences to his family and colleagues," Gibbs said.
