Seven dead after mass shooting at U.S. Army base in Texas

FT. HOOD, TEXAS (BNO NEWS) -- Seven people were killed when a gunman opened fire at the Fort Hood Army post in Texas, officials told BNO News on Thursday.
The shooting happened at around 1.30 p.m. local time when a gunman dressed as a soldier fired shots into a soldier readiness facility, a Ft. Hood spokesman said.
The spokesman told BNO News that one person was arrested following the shooting, which also injured at least 12 others. He added to say the shooting took place at one location, and not two as was reported by multiple media outlets.
There were conflicting reports on the number of casualties, with some media outlets reporting as many as 20 injured.
The base is currently on lockdown as the situation continues to develop.
